Kids Bedtime Story / The False Friend
The False Friend
In the heart of a lush forest, a deer and a crow shared an unbreakable bond of friendship. But when danger lurked, their trust would be tested like never before.
Once upon a time, there was a deer and a crow who were best friends. They loved to play and explore together in the forest.
One sunny day, the crow saw the deer walking with a jackal, a sneaky animal known for its tricks. The crow felt worried because jackals weren't usually friendly.
The crow fluttered down to the deer and said, "Hey, watch out! Jackals can be tricky and not so nice. Be careful."
But the deer didn't listen. He thought the jackal seemed friendly enough and went with him to a nearby field.
In the field, the deer got caught in a trap set by the farmer to protect his crops. The jackal, instead of helping, showed his true colors and sneered at the trapped deer.
"I'll call the farmer," said the jackal with a mean grin. "He'll come and catch you, and then we can share your meat."
The poor deer was scared and started crying for help. The crow, hearing his friend's cries, quickly flew to the field.
"Don't worry, friend," said the crow. "I have a plan. Pretend you're dead when the farmer comes."
Soon enough, the farmer arrived, alerted by the jackal's cries. He saw the deer trapped in the snare and thought it was dead. He cautiously approached and opened the trap.
But as soon as the trap was open, the deer sprang up and dashed away! The surprised farmer was left empty-handed.
Angry at being tricked, the farmer scolded the jackal and chased him away. The deer and the crow, now safe, hugged each other in relief, knowing that true friendship and quick thinking had saved the day.
Moral: False friends are worse than declared enemies.
The End.
